Disclaimers & Transparency

Autvance.org is committed to clear, honest communication about what we are, what we do, and what we do not do.

We Are Not a Service Provider

Autvance.org does not provide services to individuals. We do not offer consultations, assessments, therapy, case management, advocacy representation, or any form of direct support. All materials on this site are self-directed educational resources.

We Are Not Affiliated with National Autism Organizations

Autvance.org is fully independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, funded by, or connected to any national or regional autism organization, including but not limited to the Autism Society of America, Autism Speaks, ASAN, or any similar body. Our materials reflect our own independent research and editorial judgment.

We Do Not Create or Modify Official Documents

Autvance.org does not produce, alter, certify, or authenticate any official government, legal, or administrative document. Our materials are plain-language explanations and communication aids only. They carry no legal authority and should not be presented as official documentation.

We Do Not Provide Legal or Medical Advice

Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, medical advice, therapeutic guidance, or professional consultation of any kind. Our materials are strictly educational. If you need legal, medical, or professional support, please consult a qualified professional.

We Are Non-Commercial

Autvance.org does not charge fees, accept donations, solicit funding, sell products, or generate revenue of any kind. All materials are free and publicly accessible. We have no financial relationships with any organization, company, or individual that could influence our content.

We Use Identity-First Language

Autvance.org uses identity-first language — "autistic person" — as our default, reflecting the preference of a significant portion of the autistic community. We recognize that language preferences vary and we respect individual choice. Our use of identity-first language is not a political statement; it is a considered editorial default.

Our Materials Are Educational Only

All tools, cards, guides, scripts, and documents produced by Autvance.org are intended solely for educational and communicative purposes. They are designed to help autistic people communicate more clearly in civic and public settings. They do not confer rights, create obligations, or substitute for professional guidance.

Accuracy and Currency

We make reasonable efforts to ensure our materials are accurate and current. However, laws, policies, and civic procedures vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Users are responsible for verifying the applicability of any material to their specific situation. Autvance.org accepts no liability for outcomes resulting from the use of our materials.

No Endorsement of Third Parties

Any reference to external organizations, agencies, or resources on this site does not constitute an endorsement. Links to third-party websites are provided for informational purposes only. Autvance.org is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any external site.

Transparency Statement

Autvance.org operates without institutional funding, board governance, or formal organizational structure. We are an independent project. Decisions about content, scope, and direction are made editorially, based on the goal of producing useful, accurate, and safe communication tools for autistic people in civic contexts. An annual transparency statement will be published beginning in 2026.
